Emirates Securities Market Report for the Trading Session of Monday 08 February 2010

The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.83% to close at 2,672.67 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained 3.21 Billion AED attaining 390.26 Billion AED. A total of 0.19 Billion shares were traded with a total value of 0.31 Billion AED during the trading session of Monday 08 February 2010 through 4,120 transactions. The Industry sector has increased by 1.05% , followed by the Insurance sector that increased by 0.93% , followed by the Banks sector that increased by 0.81% , followed by the Services sector that increased by 0.79%.

The number of companies which has been traded is 59 out of 133 companies listed in the market. Shares for 40 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 7 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.

«Emaar Properties» came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of 92.68 Million AED distributed over 28.59 Million shares through 809 transactions.«Dubai Financial Market» shares followed by 38.68 Million AED distributed over 23.92 Million shares through 438 transactions.

«Al-Ain Ahlia Insurance Co» shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at 71.5 AED with 10.00% increase during 50 shares traded with a trade value of 3,575 AED. Whereas «Abu Dhabi Aviation Co» shares Increased by 9.59% to close at 2.4 AED during the trading of 10,000 shares traded value of 24,000 AED.

«Finance House» has achieved the lowest decline by 9.91% to close at 6.27 AED during 1,500 shares traded with a trade value of 9,405 AED. Followed by «Global Investment» which dropped by 4.31% to close at 1.11 AED during the trading of 10,000 shares traded value of 11,100 AED.

Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has declined by -3.57%, with a total accumulation trade value of 14.76 Billion AED. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 29 out of the 133 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 51 companies.

The Industry sector index has the lead over the other indices, with a growth of 0.53% since the end of last year to settle at 343 points.Whereas, the Banks sector index has declined by -2.45% to close at 2,866 points.Followed by the Services sector index with percentage of -4.96% to settle at 2,421 points.Followed by the Insurance sector index with percentage of -5.61% to settle at 3,125 points.
